The Dish
Welcome to The Dish! We are a local Christian organisation dedicated to serving the Hornsby community with food, friendship, and inclusive support.
What we do at The Dish
Provide nourishing meals for up to 40 people every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday night, all year round.
Foster genuine friendships and create a welcoming, non-judgmental space for those experiencing vulnerability, isolation, or homelessness.
Run our Community Food Care Program, rescuing fresh food from local supermarkets and bakeries that would otherwise go to waste, and stocking our Community Pantry to support those in need.
Welcome everyone without question — we don’t ask why people come to us; we’re simply grateful they do.
At The Dish, everyone is valued, everyone belongs, and everyone is invited to share a meal and a moment of connection.
Would like to get involved?
The work of The Dish is an inspiring example of how our local community comes together to serve others.
There are many ways you or your organisation can get involved — from volunteering your time, donating food or resources, to supporting our programs and initiatives.
Together, we can make a real difference in the lives of those experiencing food insecurity and isolation.
